Boulder residents protest spraying dandelions
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Residents of a south-Boulder neighborhood say they'll lie down in front of chemical sprayers to prevent the use of an herbicide to kill dandelions.
The protest is planned Friday at the Shanahan Ridge 7 condos. Condo owner Roz Lynn Dorf says there are organic ways to get rid of the dandelions. The 61-year-old Dorf says about half the 160 residents have signed a petition asking the management company to not use chemical herbicides on the property because of concerns about the effects.
The condo association's board of directors says in a written statement that it went with a conventional treatment after alternative treatments proved too costly. The board says it will keep looking for chemical-free alternatives

Why doesn't all the tenants get out their little garden shovels and all dig them out. Then there wouldn't be a need for the spray job, Plus management wouldn't have to pay a "higher" bill of alternative! :)
